Dear Family Members:
Every three years mark the time that the Thompson’s and Ashley’s gather their kin to commune, worship, laugh, cry, reflect, and perhaps even tell a few Thompson-Ashley tall-tales. We are the recipients for a long and rich legacy. Flowing in our blood are the deep elements of spirituality, courage, creativity, and servant-leadership (the highest kind of leadership that emulates our Father’s service on earth). We are forever reminded by our forefathers to strive to walk in the most upright footsteps of all – – those of Jesus – – as we make IMPACTS in our schools, our vocations, our businesses, our interpersonal relationships, and our services to mankind.
Our theme this year is “Returning Home: Celebrating Our Past, Embracing Our Future”. It reminds despite the difficult times we all have faced in recent years, we can find solace in returning to our roots and embracing the history and love that will meet us there. It also gives us hope in this family’s future as the new generation of Thompsons and Ashleys lead this family into greater heights and accomplishments.
We have enjoyed coordinating your weekend (along with a wonderful Steering Committee) to ensure that family and friends will make many fond memories this reunion – – memories that will linger on our minds, overflow in your scrapbooks and computer files, and rest in your hearts for years to come. Be sure to talk to each other during the reunion on deeper levels about our theme. We encourage you to add at least 20 new relatives to your list of contacts to stay in touch with after this reunion. Please be sure to welcome and embrace warmly our new family reunion attendees and our close friends who chose to celebrate our heritage with us this year. So let the 2026 Family Reunion Begin….
With sincere family love,
